The First Baptist Church of Coal City accepted the call of God to minister to the people at Embassy Care Center, Wilmington, Il. Meet us there on the second Sunday of each month to join us in bringing the residents of Embassy Care Center a true blessing. We bring God's word to them through music.

Praise and Worship Night is designed for any member to take part by singing a special, readings, group singing and special prayers for those in need. The Director of Music (Joe Klepk) leads this service.

This day is set aside for the church to come together for mid-week Bible study and group activities. Adults enjoy a Bible study. Youth (7th - 12th) have a time together. And TeamKID (1st - 6th)have a very busy time doing a variety of things, most of all, they have fun with God's Word!

TeamKid in on summer break and will start meeting again in August.

All church members are encouraged to bring a friend to enjoy a great breakfast & good fellowship. The breakfast is served at 8:45, however the fellowship begins at 7:45 when the cooks get started. The fellowship continues in our Sunday morning Bible Study.

Women On Mission

This activity is for all ladies of the church.

The Women On Mission meet to plan mission programs in corporation with the Three Rivers Association, Illinois State Baptist Association, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

There is also a time for fellowship and fun.

The Church Council conducts church business during the times the church is not in regular business meeting. All church members are welcome to attend and be heard at these sessions. Council will meet on the first Tuesday of each month.

We work the food pantry the first Monday and Thursday of every month. We encourage you to donate items or even your time to the food pantry. Contact the office if you have any questions.

Calling all kids 1st through 8th grade!! The children's choir practices every Wednesday at 6pm. On the third Sunday of every month, they kids bless us by singing the songs they work so hard on during the month. If you have any questions, contact Ginger Willis.
